OUR VINEYARDS

The vineyard: our most important value

Cramele Galan

akes wine only from its vines and from the vineyards on its property. The objective is to control the whole process from the beginning and currently Cramele Galan has 11 hectares of vineyards. Each vineyard brings its own character. A good part of our vines are old, with more than 60 years and the rest are between 25 and 40 years old. We own one of the best cultivated vineyards in the area and are always looking for low productions.

THE GRAPES

We are local

We work mainly with native grapes and thanks to our experience we know the conditions that each one needs. Each vineyard has its own personality, which depends mainly on the characteristics of the soil, its location and orientation, and therefore we always talk about the different grapes in relation to the vineyard from which they come.

REGENERATE AND ECOLOGICAL VITICULTURE

We have always worked sustainably in order to obtain the maximum expression and authenticity of our land:

     • To maintain the structure of the soil and oxygenate the land, we alternate

the cultivation of the vineyard with the use of vegetable covers.

     • We use green fertilizers (remnants of pruning and mowing of the plant cover) as well as organic fertilizers from different animals.

     • We totally avoid the use of chemical fungicides and insecticides.
